One defining moment in my career was in 2023 when I accepted a Senior Associate position at my first Family Law Firm where I excelled. Shortly thereafter I was promoted to Team Leader Attorney and was placed in charge of all Oklahoma staff including Associate Attorneys, Senior Associates, Paralegals and Senior Paralegals.
I try to help clients not only navigate the court system and litigation but also the emotional rollercoaster often present in Family Law. This is especially beneficial and important in high conflict cases. I always try to shift the client’s mindset away from their own emotional responses and to always place the best interests of the children first and foremost.
The key to effective and successful representation is communication. I am always ready to explain what is upcoming, what has occurred, and the ramifications of both. The more the client is informed and aware of the process, the less likely the client is to be confused or upset about unpredictable outcomes.
I grew up in Owasso and Tulsa graduating from Bishop Kelley High School. I attended the University of Oklahoma for my Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Finance. I attended the University of Tulsa in their Joint Degrees program where I earned both a Master of Taxation and a Juris Doctor. At the time I was the only Joint Degrees student to be awarded the Order of Barristers for Mock Trial/Negotiation competitions. In addition to hunting and fishing I really enjoy scuba diving. I have PADI certifications for Open Water Diver and Enhanced Air Nitrox. I have a NAUI certification for Advanced Open Water Diver.
I am a member of the Cherokee Nation Bar Association, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Bar Association, and the Osage Nation Bar Association. I am a member of the following Oklahoma Bar Association Sections: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law, Indian Law, and Litigation.
